Hi Everyone,

I have a fun card today. I am using the 6x6 paper pad American Crafts XOXO. I can't believe how many cards you can get out of a single pad like this and there are always those little bitty scrap pieces. Let me ask you this. What is the smallest scrap size you save, just in case?  You know what I am talking about. You look at the little piece of paper 1" x 2" and you say to yourself, should I keep it? or should I throw it out? Or do you save a whole scrap box of paper 12" x12" x8 thinking you will use all those scraps  and then when it is full, just throw the whole thing out?

Anyway here is my card for today.

After I glued the buttons down with the Xtreme adhesive I realized it looks like they spell BOO, unfortunately I used the Xtreme adhesive there is no getting them off now without ripping the paper
(pssssst...  don't tell anyone), so I will just go with mixing the two holidays.

  4. Your card is wonderful! If I am really tying to see how many cards I get out of a 6x6 paper pad, I save all the scraps and at the end, I create a couple cards that I make a background that is covered with those scraps, then emboss it with an embossing folder and pop a sentiment on the lower right corner. If I am not playing a mind game like that one with myself over the scraps, I just throw them away when they get anything less than probably 1x4".

  5. Like the card with the wonderful embellishments. I save mostly anything 1" x 1" or larger scraps. The 1" x 1" are perfect for punches.

  9. This is such a sweet card!! I take my very small scraps and die cut small flowers from them. I have a lilac die cut set with two sizes of small flowers. If the scrap is too small for one of these.....it is definitely too small to save!! lol.... I am way too much of a saver!

Thanks for your sweet comments on my projects today, Diana!

  13. What a fun card, but I don't see the word "boo" with the buttons! I see a cute trio of embellishments! As for the snippets - I have a 12x12 container of cardstock scraps, and a 12x12 container of dsp scraps. I draw from them often, but they don't seem to be getting any smaller, so I fear one day I'll take the smallest and toss them! I hate making decisions :)

  16. There are times that I will keep a small scrap or a thin scrap to make little hand cut banners or little tags, sentiments to put on cards. They usually have to be something I can use again then everyone in a while I go through my small scrap pile and recycle stuff I haven't used up or no longer will use.
    Beautiful card too

  19. Cute, cute card Diana! Love the sentiment:) As of last fall, I don't keep scraps smaller than 3x3! My scrap bin was just getting to full so I tossed it and started over...did I just say that?!

  22. This is just precious Diana! Love those little buttons. As for paper saving. I save all sizes if it's from a "stack" or series since those sets are matchy matchy. I've stopped saving anything less than 3" on solid colors(except white) Hope you have a great day!
